Instagram feed videos, Instagram story clips, Instagram live videos, and IGTV are four types of videos that you can post to Instagram.
Here’s a brief explanation of the Instagram video length:
- Instagram Video Feed Length: 3 seconds to 1 minute
- Instagram Story Video Length: 15 seconds per story
- IGTV Video Length: 15 seconds to 10 minutes (for some large audience accounts up to 1 hour).
- Instagram live videos: up to 1 hour
Video’s Length on Instagram Feed
You can only upload a 1 minute (60 seconds) clip via the Instagram feed.
But there’s one hack on Instagram feed to increase the length of footage.
You can add 10 videos to the Instagram feed as a carousal update. So, if you break the video into 10 sections (each video should be 1 minute), you might be able to upload a 10-minute video to Instagram feed via carousel posts.
Instagram Story’s Length of Video
You can upload up to 15 seconds per single story for Instagram Stories. But, when you upload a 15-second clip for you, the Instagram app will turn it into 15-second bits.
On the other side, you can have 4 pieces of footage, so this works only up to 1 minute for videos.
You can insert the videos into one minute by rolling the screen.
Several video editing applications are also available that would do it for you. Only look for an app store or play store.
IGTV Video Length
Would you like to add to IGTV? Videos that range from 15 seconds to 10 minutes can be downloaded. If your profile is confirmed, the upload cap increases to 60 minutes unless you have a large audience account.
Live Video Length on Instagram
Ultimately, when it comes to live on Instagram, you’re limited to 60 minutes per live stream. However, when you hit the 60-minute cap and post more and more, you can go live for the next one. Just keep an eye on the time to restart at the end of the live session.
